The Hamner Barber Theater extends our sincere thanks and appreciation to Ken and Josh Keating who announced today that they will perform their final Branson concert for the 2010 season tomorrow,  Wednesday, June 16th at 3:00pm.

The Keating family made the tough decision to complete their Branson schedule earlier than originally planned so that they could explore some incredible educational and performance opportunities for young Josh that were just too difficult to turn down.

The Keatings, first came to Branson with their concert show in 2009 and returned in 2010 to perform at the Hamner Barber Theater.  Not only have they earned the respect, applause and admiration of their audiences, they have also given back to the Branson community by volunteering their talents to the benefit of many area organizations such as CAM (Christian Action Ministries) and the Vietnam Veterans of America.

We fully support the Keatings on their difficult decision to end their season here at the Hamner Barber Theater earlier than expected, and we have no doubt we will be hearing great things about them in the future.  The Keatings are not only extremely talented vocalists, but they and their amazing musicians, cast and crew also rank above the most outstanding individuals we’ve had the pleasure of working with.   They will always be welcome at our venue should the opportunity permit them to return in the future.

The Keatings Final 2010 Branson Performance Tomorrow!

As a special thank you to the Branson community, the Keatings wish to extend a personal invitation for everyone to attend this Wednesday afternoon’s final performance absolutely free of charge.  A professional video production crew will also be on hand to document the production and it’s incredible cast of singers, dancers, musicians and special effects lighting.  This concert event promises to be an especially great show full of joy, tears, laughter and especially applause for these exceptionally talented performers.

Help spread the word and don’t miss out on your last opportunity to see this amazing production at the Hamner Barber Theater.  The lobby doors will open at 2pm with the show starting at 3pm.

The Keatings, came to Branson in 2009 and were immediately touched by the feeling of “community” they found here.  In an effort to give back to the community that has made them feel so much a part of it, in such a short time, Ken and Josh are offering a FREE TICKET to their show on Friday, May 21st at 3:00PM to anyone who will bring a donation of canned goods to help supply the food pantry at Christian Action Ministries.  Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your neighbors and a few canned goods for each ticket.   Let’s make this a real “celebration of community;” helping CAM help those in need.  All donations must be made at the theater. Audiences are captivated by the unique combination of powerful voices from a father and his 18 year old son.  Recently, The Keatings performed on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon and in February, 2010 they made their debut appearance on a world-class Crystal Cruise Lines ship.

Ken Keating is an accomplished vocalist and pianist.  Ken was one of the original winners of the Liberace scholarship for both the piano and voice categories in 1981.   Ken has been performing since he was a teenager.  By the age of 18, he was playing with his show band in lounges around the Las Vegas strip.

If you haven’t seen them perform and heard their magical voices, then Sunday, when the Keatings return to the Starbright Theatre at 3 p.m., may be your last chance for a while. New Show at the Hamner Barber Theater in 2010!

The Hamner Barber Theater is proud to announce that The Keatings… A Father and Son Musical Experience will be joining their line-up of top quality, family entertainment in 2010.  They will perform at 3:oo PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning April 28, 2010.

Also featured at the theater in 2010 will be the Hamner Barber Variety Show starring illusionists The Hamners and comedian ventriloquist Jim Barber.

Returning for their 4th season in Branson is Ricky Boen & Texas Mud presenting World Championship Western Swing Music mornings at Hamner Barber Theater.

Ken has done extensive vocal work with critically acclaimed groups such as the William Hall Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Boston Pops. He has performed in such places as the Hollywood Bowl and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and has worked with celebrities such as Celine Dion, Carol Burnett and Hal Linden.

By the age of 11, Josh Keating was already performing on stage in Las Vegas and developing his craft. In 2005, at the age of 14, Josh auditioned alongside hundreds of other singers ranging in age from 14 to 28 for Andre Agassi’s Grand Slam to Stardom competition. After several rounds of auditions, performances, and eliminations, Josh was selected by a panel of celebrity judges as one of the three chosen singers to be sent to Malibu, CA to meet with Grammy Award winning producer, David Foster.

Josh was invited to perform as a special guest at a charity event in Las Vegas called “An Evening With Tony Bennett And The Stars”. Josh performed along with an array of stars and received a standing ovation started by Mr. Bennett himself.
