Veterans Homecoming event at the Hamner Barber Theater
November 1, 2006
A Veterans Homecoming service will be conducted by Branson minister and entertainer Dave Hamner on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Hamner Barber Theater (formerly Braschler Theatre), 3090 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. The service is part of Veterans Week and the Branson Veterans Task Force's 13th Annual Veteran Homecoming to be held in Branson Nov. 5-11.
"We appreciate my friend Dave Hamner helping us honor the veterans during this week and being one of the first events," said Dr. Dale Smith, chairman of the board of the Branson Veterans Task Force. "He is a great teacher and his Solid Gospel Sunday services are always uplifting and meaningful."
Held each Sunday, Solid Gospel Sunday is an inter-denominational worship service under Hamner's direction with gospel music by the Solid Gospel Praise Team, Brandi Noelle and other local entertainers.
The special Veterans Homecoming Service will also feature vocalist Bucky Heard with a moving, original patriotic song as well as additional speakers.
