Tom Mullica as Red SkeltonMy Red Skelton Tribute Show will move to the Hamner Barber Theatre in March of 2013 and I couldn’t be happier.

The multi-talented Hamner & Barber have created a good old fashion variety show that I’ve enjoyed many times over the years. They produce a clean, fun, family-oriented show and I can’t think of a better place for me to be. – Tom Mullica

2013 marks the 17th year that the talented impressionist, comedian and magician has been paying homage to Red Skelton, an international icon of comedy, with this entertaining production.

Acclaimed as one of the world’s greatest comedy magicians, Tom Mullica is a one-of-a-kind entertainer who’s acts could never be duplicated! He has been featured on many national television shows, theater venues around the world, and is regarded as one of the greatest variety acts of our time. His Red Skelton show has been described by critics as “the funniest and most successful tribute show in America!” Tom Mullica’s performance takes the art of imitation to new heights!

His amazing transformation into “America’s Favorite Clown”, Red Skelton, takes audiences on a hilarious journey back to a simpler time, when families would gather around their television sets and share in the laughter of Red’s famous comedic characters such as Clem Kadiddlehopper, the Mean Widdle Kid and Freddie the Freeloader, to name a few. The Red Skelton Show was one of the most popular television series for two decades, from 1951 to 1971. It was second only to Gunsmoke and third to The Ed Sullivan Show in the ratings during those years.

As a budding magician learning my trade, I was most impressed with the professionalism of Tom Mullica,” stated Dave Hamner. “I’ve never met a stage performer who can engage an audience throughout an entire two-hour production quite the way that he does. It’s an honor to announce that this show will be here at our theater next year!”

The legacy and laughter of Red Skelton lives on in the artistic and comedic hands of Tom Mullica, appearing at the Hamner Barber Theater in 2013 in Branson, Missouri.
