The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 is pleased to announce the 8th Annual Veterans Assistance Show to be held at the Hamner Barber Theater on Monday, May 23, 2011.
The event begins at 6:00pm with a Silent Auction in the theater lobby. At 6:45pm there will be a Presentation of the Colors by the VVA Chapter 913 Color Guard followed by a special performance by Ambrus Presley singing the National Anthem, and Bob Sarver leading the Pledge of Allegiance before the fun and excitement of the outstanding line up of talented Branson entertainers on hand for this year’s show.
This year’s program includes Joseph Hall and his tribute to Elvis, SIX, Paul Harris, the Brett Family, Dalena Ditto, #1 Hits of the 60′s, Kendra and George Dyer, Dave Hamner and Jim Barber with their award-winning magical, multimedia tribute to Veterans. The entertainment line up is subject to change.
Funnyman Tom Mullica is returning as the Master of Ceremonies after having missed hosting the event in 2010 due to his treatments for Leukemia. Even though he was very ill, he still made a surprise guest appearance last year to the delight of the entire audience. This year, Tom has experienced a miraculous and full recovery and is now performing full time with his Red Skelton Tribute Show at the Mansion Theatre. Tom has supported this benefit at the Hamner Barber Theater since it’s inception in 2004, and everyone associated with the cause is thrilled he is able to resume his duties as Master of Ceremonies.
